Being a punk, or part of any punk adjacent community, socialization can come with its challenges. As we grow into adults, it’s easy to assume you’ll naturally accumulate social graces and etiquette. Somewhere along the way there is a noticeable divide between being good at partying and living through all the drugs, and being good at parties. On reflection, so many of us were never that great socially to begin with. Being aware of your own insecurities can also make you sensitive to those of others. This song is a recognition of the awkward, over-sharing, and terrible parties.
